From October 19th to 20th, 2023, the ninth ''Southwest Building Electrical Annual Conference and Academic Forum on Electrical Design for Dalian Maritime University Stadium'' was successfully held in Chengdu. The event was jointly organized by the China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. , the Southwest Building Electrical Engineering Design Information Network, the Architectural Electrical Professional Committee of the Sichuan Civil and Architectural Society, the Industrial and Architectural Power Supply Professional Committee of the Sichuan Electrical Technology Society, and hosted by the Architectural Electrical Magazine. With the theme ''Empowering Intelligence, Greening Major Events'', the conference hosted over 460 participants, including renowned national electrical experts such as Guo Xiaoyan, a national master in engineering survey and design, and Zhou Ainong, a master in engineering survey and design from Chongqing. Representatives from major design institutes in Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Zhejiang, as well as various outstanding electrical enterprises, were also in attendance.
The Conference
Googol has been dedicated to the reserve and development of green and clean standby power technology. Its products have found numerous applications in the Southwest region. For instance, Googol’s diesel engine-powered generator sets were utilized at the Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in the host city of the Major Events. Adapting to the unique geographical conditions of the Southwest, Googol made several improvements. The mountainous terrain and cool climate of the Yungui Plateau make it an ideal location for the data center industry cluster. The average altitude of around 1000 meters presents challenges for power generator sets, especially engine performance.
Googol's ''D'' type machines for power data centers boast several advantages, including the adoption of high-pressure common rail fuel injection technology, power density lower than 30kW/L, and large displacement design with low EMP (average effective pressure). These features enable Googol's power units to operate efficiently without power correction below an altitude of 1500 meters. Even above 1500 meters, the power loss is relatively minimal. This has been successfully validated in projects such as the Zunyi Big Data Center and the Tibet Broadcasting and Television Station.

During the conference, Mr.Chao Jin, Chairman of the Electrical Professional Committee of the Yunnan Civil and Architectural Society and Chief Electrical Engineer of the Yunnan Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., discussed how larger engine displacement implies lower power density, leading to more reliable engine performance. The significant displacement and power reserve ensure that most power remains unaffected or minimally impacted at altitudes of 2000-3000 meters on the Yungui Plateau. Additionally, the use of high-pressure common rail technology with excellent atomization effectively resolves engine start-up challenges in high-altitude environments. ment.
